The Old Castle in Pigeon Cove, Massachusetts. Built in 1711.
 
 
 
 

July 10 - "US Naval Visits to Rockport 1899-1950"
Paul St. Germain, president of Thacher's Island Association, will tell about the Navy vessels that have visited our town during the early 1900's.

August 14 - "The History of the C.B. Fisk Organ Company"
Greg Bover, Vice President of C.B. Fisk Organ Company, will do a presentation on how Fisk organs are constructed showing an organ sent to Switzerland.

September 12 (Friday) - "Chowah" Supper and Annual Meeting
Supper begins at 6:00 p.m. and is followed by the annual meeting and program, "Architectural Houses of Cape Ann" - Dale Pope will do a presentation of various styles of architecture found on Cape Ann.

October 9 - Ann Fisk, will discuss the Stuart Urquart murals found in the Community House.

 

November 13 - "A Stone Cutters Tale"
Local photographer, Leslie Bartlett, introduces viewers to a history of quarrying on Cape Ann through the medium of a live shadow puppet play.

December 7 (Sunday) - Annual Christmas Open House at the Sewall-Scripture Museum
The Sewall-Scripture Museum is open mid- June until mid September from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday- Saturday It is also open by appointment year round by calling 978-546-9533.

The Old Castle is open on Saturdays during July and August from 2:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.
